About Us
The D.C. region is rapidly changing and evolving into a society that is multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and multi-racial, a region of visitors and immigrants from all over the world, migrations of African Americans from across the nation, entrepreneurs, intellectuals, NGO’s and an active and involved political class.
Metrodiversity.com, with joy, humor and entertainment highlights the experience of these populations while at the same time advocating greater empowerment, inclusion and consideration of the aspirations, progress and representation of what we call ‘new Americans’. The views and interests of this population make for a rich, substantive and unique picture of life and experiences in this region, the country and the world.
Diversity of all kinds, racial, ethnic and economic is under attack not only here in Washington D.C., a progressive city, but across the United States. Metrodiversity.com speaks to this assault and defends the power, beauty and richness of diverse races, ethnicities and income levels living and cohabitating together. Metrodiversity.com has as its goal educating, informing, advocating and entertaining a broad population on matters of culture, inclusion and integration.
We started this website after a grueling campaign in a small part of the Adams Morgan neighborhood in the heart of Washington D.C. where we were witness to the effects of money and power on the richness and diversity of this neighborhood.
Jose Sueiro has gathered together a group of creative individuals who decided to convert the unorthodox and celebratory campaign and its website into a vehicle for the expression of views and initiatives normally overlooked by the dominant storylines expressed in most of the media. The other Partner and Creative|Art Director Creator of Metrodiversity concept, provides us with the possibility of putting all this before the public in imaginative and ingenious ways.
Metrodiversity.com is also the outgrowth of our Director’s experience at the head of foreign language, community publications for over 20 years and as such we’ll be presenting talented writers and journalists on our pages.
Keep tuned, stay in touch and check us out!
