On Thursday, April 12, 2012, Fox News President Roger Ailes, after making a speech at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, referred to Soledad O’Brien (who anchors the CNN morning news show “Starting Point”) as “that girl that’s named after a prison.” While presumably referring to the Soledad Correctional Training Facility in Monterey County, California, it defies logic to understand why Ailes would think that Soledad was named after that facility.
